Each CPA candidate goes through the same process when deciding to sit for the CPA exam. There is so much to do and so much preparation (and money!) Once you are there, ready to sit for the CPA exam, you must start your CPA exam preparation. This can be overwhelming. There are many different CPA exam courses that are out there and it is difficult to say which is the best CPA Review course. It all depends on your individual learning style.
Time, budget, schedule and learning style will all effect your decision on which CPA exam course to take. There are great options from many different companies and learning institutions. It is highly recommended that you research each of them to decide which one to take.
Wiley
Wiley is best known for their test bank and practice exams. Wiley includes 3-4,000 practice exam questions, which is a great help in your studying. Wiley’s book and course is somewhat overwhelming, and some CPA candidates have complained that it is not very user friendly. Most choose Wiley as a supplement to your other CPA exam course.
Becker
Becker is the most expensive, and also has the most loyal student base. Most previous CPA students say that the money is worth it and that Becker claims to have double the pass rate of other programs. This is a good option for your CPA exam course.
Yeager
Yeager is the best of all worlds, according to many students. It is not as pricey as Becker, but is much more robust and comprehensive than Wiley. It has many options for different schedules and programs for each learning style.
….And More
There are many other options, including Gleim, CPAExcel, Kaplan, Bisk and more. Once you have chosen the best CPA exam course, the CPA Army offers a great study guide program to compliment any other chosen program. It includes study notes, a CPA study guide and tracker, as well as hundreds of flashcards, CPA practice exams and more, for only $29.95.
