Best CPA Review Course
Often, we get asked “What is the best CPA review course out there?” I usually respond with “What is it you are looking for?”
Each CPA review course is different, so it is hard to say which the best CPA review course is. Each has strengths, and possibly weaknesses for different people. Some programs are more robust, while others are made up of the basics, nothing more. Some students work better in a classroom setting, while others are far too busy and must do an independent study program. Each of the mainstream CPA courses has something to offer, and for best results, you can use a combination of programs. If I had to personally outline my recommendation for best CPA review course, it would look like this:
Becker CPA
Becker is very robust and comprehensive. They offer a Becker Guarantee, which allows you to retake the lectures if you do not pass the CPA exam the first time. Be sure to read the fine print, there are exceptions. Their students are very loyal, and will tell you that Becker is the best CPA review course on the market. They attribute their success to Becker’s program.
Wiley CPA
Wiley is what I would use to supplement the CPA practice exams. Wiley is widely known for their CPA prep questions and exam software. They offer over 3,000 different exam questions, and Wiley CPA is fairly cheap, in comparison to other programs. I would use this in addition to Becker. Wiley is my pick for best CPA review course exam software.
CPA Army Boot Camp™
CPA Army Boot Camp™ is a terrific supplement to Becker and Wiley. This is a nominal cost, in comparison, and offers a study tracker, schedule, study notes and flashcards. Every CPA candidate complains about getting in a rut with studying and feeling discouraged and bored. By having a few different means to study, you get a taste of other styles; the information is repeated, but presented differently, thus helping you remember it and preventing you from getting bored stiff and giving up.
